'There are no good options': Mark White reacts to Labour's asylum hotels announcement
Asylum seekers have been told by police not to harass or abuse women, a Freedom of Information request has revealed.
Officers used a PowerPoint presentation to inform asylum seekers about the key points of "UK culture", including information about women having the same rights as men.
The presentation noted that women "must be treated with respect and courtesy" and "if you harass or abuse any female, you can be arrested".
It added, in a capitalised font, that any kind of violence is "not acceptable".

Details of the presentation have been revealed just days after a 29-year-old Afghan asylum seeker tried to defend his rape of a 15-year-old Scottish schoolgirl.
Sadeq Nikzad's defence cited cultural differences and a language barrier.
Nikzad arrived in the UK illegally on a small boat in 2023, and his lawyers told the court he had not been educated about cultural differences between the UK and Afghanistan.
He has since been jailed for nine years following the attack in Falkirk town centre.
